Too untalented and undisciplined to be a professional golfer, too obtuse and closed minded to be a professional philosopher, and without faith sufficient to be a priest (among other reasons), Ben earns a living practicing law in his hometown of Iowa City, Iowa.  He holds the B.A. in Philosophy, M.A. in Philosophy, and a J.D., all conferred by the University of Iowa.
